How To Arrange For An Energy Audit
To arrange for an energy audit with C.J. Brown Energy, just complete the three steps listed below:

1. Complete the Energy Audit Request Form (159kb.pdf)
2. Fax or mail copies of your utility bills (electric, natural gas, fuel oil) for the previous 12 months along with the Audit Request Form. Fax to (716) 633-5598 or mail to the address below.
3. Mail a check for the energy audit fee (payable to NYSERDA) to:

   Buffalo, NY 14225

We will call you to schedule the energy audit upon receipt of this form, your utility bills, and the audit fee.


How to determine the energy audit fee:

Annual Electric Bills Less than $25,000 $25,000 - $75,000

Energy Audit Fee $100.00 $400.00

Remember: The energy audit fee is refunded if you implement at least one recommended energy conservation measure the cost of which is equal to or greater than the cost of the audit.


Program Requirements

• Commercial and industrial facilities, not-for-profit and private institutions, colleges and universities, K-12 schools, and state and local government facilities with annual electric costs of $75,000 or less are eligible for the New York Energy $mart^SM Energy Audit Program.
• The facility must be an electricity distribution customer of National Grid, NYSEG or RG&E.
• Facilities with annual electric costs over $75,000 are not eligible for the Energy Audit Program. Energy audits, customized energy engineering services, and specialized technical assistance are available through NYSERDA’s Flexible Technical Assistance Program (FlexTech).
• Single and multi-family residences are not eligible for the Energy Audit Program. Multi-family buildings (5+ units) are eligible for energy audit services, technical assistance and improvement incentives through NYSERDA’s Multifamily Performance Program.
